Details

Excel-Crete is an acrylic latex modified concrete. It may be combined with a metal lath reinforcement to provide a substrate underlayment suitable for the application of the Excel-Coat “CLASS A” Fire System. Excel-Crete may also be used for addition of slope to concrete or plywood surfaces.

Excel-Crete includes a modified concrete mixture combined with an acrylic polymer, Excel-Crete Clear Additive, and utilized in the underlayment for the Excel-Coat Fire System over plywood or as a patching, sloping, and leveling material over concrete. Excel-Crete is also available in white (Excel-Crete K/D) and is used in conjunction with the Excel-Coat K/D & K/D II Decorative Finishes. It is recommended to use the ExcelCrete (Gray) for underlayment and leveling work.

It is ideal for walking decks, balconies and stairways. The Excel-Coat Fire System provides durable protection with ultraviolet light stability and allows for easy maintenance. The Excel-Coat K/D & K/D II Systems are colorful, decorative, skid resistant coatings for pool decks, patios, entryways, walkways and wall finishes. In addition to providing an attractive walking surface, these systems allow for easy maintenance and will protect the substrate from the damaging effects of ultraviolet light, salt and water. Applications

Limitations

Not for areas intended for vehicular traffic.
Do not apply in constantly submerged conditions such as reflecting ponds or tank linings.
Do not apply at thicknesses ½ inch or greater over plywood without including metal lath reinforcement.
Do not apply at thicknesses greater than 1” lifts per application.
