The Excel-Crete Retarder is a citric acid set control retarder for both the gray and white Excel-Crete products. Addition of Excel-Crete Retarder slows down the setting time of the Excel-Crete giving more time to place and finish your mixture. The Excel-Crete Retarder counteracts the accelerating effects of warm weather and extends the work time of the material. Excel-Coat Retarder is also used to help facilitate the spray texture of Excel-Crete.

Excel-Crete Retarder is specifically designed as a set control admixture for Excel-Crete (gray) and Excel-Crete K/D (white) when mixing temperatures rise above 75° F. This increases the time for workability of the Excel-Crete products.

Note: Adding this extender may increase the time necessary to cure the Excel-Crete for the next step. It may be necessary to wait until the next day to start the next step of the system that is being installed.
