Details
With a 100% silicone-based formula, SSG4000 Accelerated Cure (AC) UltraGlaze sealant forms a strong, flexible cushion between the glass and the frame. Its accelerated cure profile can help meet production demands without compromising strength. SSG4000AC is an excellent choice to consider for in-shop or in-field structural glazing and curtainwall applications.
- Exceptional durability, with high-tensile strength and tear resistance
- Proven, long-term resistance to extreme temperatures, UV radiation, rain, snow, and wind with negligible change in elasticity
- Quickly attains weather-resistant properties
- Once cured, remains elastic in temperatures from –55°F (-48°C) to 250°F (121°C)
- ±25% movement capacity
- Low VOC (volatile organic compound)
An excellent solution for both in-shop and in-field structural glazing and curtainwall applications, it is made to withstand severe impact and extreme weather without tearing, rupturing, or degrading, now and well into the future.
Application
- Primerless adhesion to many substrates and finishes
- Extrudes easily from cartridge or container
- Accelerated cure builds adhesion rapidly, stabilizing assembled parts to facilitate early handling
- Low-sag formula remains in place until fully cured
SSG4000AC UltraGlaze sealant securely bonds without a primer to many substrates and finishes including glass, glass coatings, ceramic frits, paints, and aluminum. Some finishes or substrates may require a primer.
SSG4000AC UltraGlaze sealant is backed by world-class technical support and GE's project-specific warranty program.
