Benefit from years of trouble-free performance and protection, with GE's SSG4000 UltraGlaze sealant. Supplied as a lightweight paste, SSG4000 UltraGlaze sealant forms a weatherproof, resilient cushion between the glass. With easy application, as well as impressive strength and elasticity, it is the ideal solution for in-shop or in-field structural glazing and curtainwall applications. Providing lasting protection from extreme weather, wind, temperature and UV radiation, it enables innovation in structural glazing design, without compromising on performance.
Features & Benefits
- One-part system
- Exceptional durability, with high-tensile strength and tear resistance
- Proven, long-term resistance to extreme temperatures, UV radiation, rain, snow, and wind with negligible change in elasticity
- Once cured, remains elastic in temperatures from –55°F (-48°C) to 250°F (121°C)
- ±25% movement capacity, with extension and compression cycling recovery
- Low VOC (volatile organic compound)

Applications
- Primerless adhesion to many substrates and finishes
- Extrudes easily from cartridge or container
- Extended work life to allow time for placement and tooling, and to aid in field repairs
- Low-sag formula remains in place until fully cured
- SSG4000 UltraGlaze sealant securely bonds without a primer to many substrates and finishes, including glass, glass coatings, ceramic frits, paints, and aluminum. Some finishes may require primer.
