Features & Benefits

GacoFlex LM60 is a 100% polyurethane, two-component, cold-applied, one-coat, monolithic waterproofing membrane and is available in both horizontal and vertical grades. Polyurethane coatings like GacoFlex LM60 offer excellent resistance to water permeability and impressive adhesion to a variety of prepared substrates, making them an ideal choice for between-slab and below-grade applications.

  • Easy one-coat application with a squeegee, trowel, or brush
  • No reinforcement required
  • Super-compliant; certified for NSF/ANSI 61 potable water use
  • Cold-applied liquid membranes significantly reduce the risk of moisture evaporation that can cause blistering or pinholes during installation
  • Solvent-free, emits zero odor or VOCs
  • 100% polyurethane technology, doesn't lose wet film thickness ("WFT") or dry film thickness ("DFT")
  • Long life cycle
  • Elongation up to 300%, will not shrink or crack
  • Up to 20-year warranty
  • Self-leveling on horizontal surfaces

Application Information

GacoFlex LM60 is intended primarily for use as a high-build waterproofing membrane over concrete, metal, and plywood substrates.

Typical Applications

  • Between-slab or below-grade structures
  • IRMA ("Inverted Roof Membrane Assembly") Roofing Systems
  • Vegetative roofs or garden roofs
  • Tanks, planters, podium decks

Mixing

  • Stir Part A thoroughly to suspend any settled pigment. Combine by pouring the entire contents of Part B into the Part A container.
  • Using an electric or compressed air powered mixer, power mix for 5 minutes, making sure to scrape down the sides of the pail. We recommend the Jiffy Mixer PS-1.
  • For quantities less than four gallons, combine fifteen volumes of Part A with one volume of Part B. Power mixing is required for quantities over two gallons. Extreme care is needed while mixing materials on the sides and bottom of the mixing container.

Primer Guide

Coverage

LM60 Horizontal is designed for application on horizontal and low slope surfaces at the rate of at least 4 Gal/100 ft² (15.14 L / 9.3 m²) to yield 1/16" (1.6 mm) thickness. LM60 Vertical is designed for the same application rate and yield on vertical surfaces.

Expert Tips

  • For non-potable water applications, prime concrete surfaces with E5691.
  • LM60 must be top coated or have roofing granules applied for exterior exposure, LM60 will crack and become brittle in exterior applications if not protected.
  • LM60 in direct contact with aged or new SBS and EPDM sheet membranes could cause their swelling and deterioration through time due to the strong solvency of the process oil in LM60.
