Details
PURINJECT 1C DUO Resin, when mixed with PURINJECT 1C CATALYST, creates a hydrophobic polyurethane closed cell semi-flexible foam suitable for medium pressure applications in concrete and masonry structures and below grade vertical barriers.
Features & Benefits
| Single component polyurethane flexible closed cell structure | Free expansion up to 27x |
| Non-shrinking properties after curing | Chemically resistant to acids, bases, solvents and fuels. |
| Solvent-free | Will not disperse in water |
| Adjustable/controllable reaction time | Non-flammable |
| Excellent adhesion to masonry building materials | Will not disperse in water |
Application
| A variable reaction time ensures sealing and penetrations in a variable application field, such as wastewater treatment plants, nuclear energy facilities, educational and healthcare facilities, commercial spaces, and more: | |
| Cold and construction joints | Dynamic joints |
| Injection tubes | Medium pressure conditions |
Mixing & Adjusting Reaction Time Shake each component separately. Mix the PURINJECT 1C FLEX with 10% PURINJECT™ 1C CATALYST for 2-3 minutes. With suitable reaction test, inject catalyzed material per manufacturer’s instructions. If a faster reaction time is desired, start with the addition of 0.156% (1 Oz.) or PURINJECT 1C “Hot Sauce” FAST CATALYST, for any of the four PURINJECT 1C products, and mix for 2-3 minutes. Perform reaction test to ensure proper expansion and reaction time. Repeat the process until desired reaction time is achieved or maximum allowable ounces are reached. Perform a reaction test to ensure proper reaction time. With suitable reaction test, inject material per manufacturer’s instructions. Once complete, clean equipment and flush lines with PURINJECT RINSE. |

| Shelf Life & Storage |
Store between 40°F and 90°F. Low temperatures will affect viscosity. If field conditions are below 40°F, electric heating bands or warm water baths can be utilized before installation. (DO NOT get water into any open containers). Do not exceed 90°F when artificially heating. Shelf life: 24 months after production date in the original, unopened, and undamaged packaging. Shelf life cannot be guaranteed if the above recommendations are not followed. |
